New Products - I am so excited!!

I got my new product in the mail a few days ago, but didn't have a chance to play with it until last night.  I jumped in full force, and started with Free as a Bird.  I stamped a whole piles of leaf sprigs and flowers and started cutting.  Fussy cutting is not always my favourite thing, but last night I watched TV, sat with my husband and cut away.

This morning, I took out my blends and highlighted the beautiful colours.  I used all of the brand new 2019-2021 In Colours:  Purple Posy, Seaside Spray, Terracotta Tile, Pretty Peacock and Rococo Rose (I haven't gotten the purple ink pad and ink yet as they had some production issues with it, so it will be ready when the catalogue goes live in June).  I don't have the matching blends, but I found that Highland Heather, Balmy Blue, Cajun Craze and Petal Pink worked quite nicely anyways.  I used Mango Melody in the center too. 

I typed out and printed the Statement of the Heart from Stampin' Up! on some Shimmery White paper to have a bit of glimmer, then started assembling the flowers.  I snipped some of them a bit to help them have individual petals, used my Take Your Pick spatula to help curve the petals, then glued the layers together.  I used Seaside Spray and Pretty Peacock to matte the sentiment, then placed flowers, embellished with some jewels and pearls, around with Tombow glue and some dimensionals. 

I love the paper from the Perennial Essence Suite.  It reminds me so much of Monet's Water Lilies, my favourite art.  It is so calming for me.  I was going to keep this for my craft space, but I think I will be making another one for that and using this for a gift for someone that has helped out my daughter a great deal the last year instead.  It is the perfect statement not just for crafters, but for life as a whole, especially teachers.  

I am so excited to keep trying my new "stuff" and play some more with Free as a Bird!

*Update:  I did a second copy of the same picture, in a white frame.  I used the first one as a gift already - finished this morning, given away by 12:00 pm!
