I have been enjoying using
Winds of Change the last couple of weeks since it arrived. I keep focusing on the windmill, but I love it so much. It is a great focal point! I used the bicycle and the tulips inside the card so that they weren't naked, and that seemed like the perfect touch.

My initial day with this set, I stamped about 8 pieces of
Whisper White, all the same size, all in the same way. The first three cards I did similarly, just switching up the colours of
Stampin' Blends that I used.

Today, I sat down and decided to work based on the Stampin' Up! Demonstrator challenge, as I mentioned in my last post. That one was very similar to the first few, but no ribbon and I used DSP and coloured cardstock instead of plain black and white backgrounds. I was very happy with the way that it turned out.
I must say, that the tulips are a lot of work to colour in, and I got a bit tired of being hunched over, putting my glasses on and then off and then on again so I could see it properly, and so the next few cards evolved...

I love the simplicity of the pure black and white. I used some retired
Basic Black lace ribbon to add a simple yet elegant touch to these cards, and I think it worked perfectly.

The last cards that I made finished up the pre-stamped images. I decided to focus on the In Colours
Purple Posy and Pretty Peacock. I used the
Woven Threads DSP again, and used the two colours as a foil to play off of each other. I still don't have Purple Posy Classic Stampin' Pad or Stampin' Blends, so I used Highland Heather as a stand in for that. I don't have the Pretty Peacock
Blends yet either, but a quick reach for a
Blender Pen and the C
lassic Stampin' Pad in the right colour, and I had a Pretty Peacock marker to use for the stem and a couple of leaves. I like the minimalistic look of just colouring the one flower in as a pop of colour. I finished the two cards off with some
Scalloped Linen Ribbon in both colours, and the
2019-2021 In Color Faceted Dots. I love the way they turned out!
