Making cards for those I love! Last week it was a birthday card with
New Wonders, and this week it is my oldest daughter's first anniversary. I love that I have the ability to do something I love and to make things that are beautiful for people I know appreciate them.

This time, I used
Dandelion Wishes and
To Have and To Hold. I used
Versamark ink and stamped the dandelions first on
Whisper White, and then used different colours of embossing powder that I have had for years and am trying to remember to use more often. Using my heat tool, I melted the powder, and that set it in place.
After the "fireworks" were done, I used a
sponge dauber and some
Daffodil Delight Classic Stampin' Pad ink to brighten up the center a bit. I followed that with
Night of Navy Classic Stampin' Pad to sponge on the night sky. Start at the outside and work in, layering it to make it darker on the outside edges, and leaving it a bit patchier around the bright fireworks.
Using the couple from
To Have and To Hold (retired), I stamped the couple and then used my
Stampin' Blends in
Night of Navy, Balmy Blue, Cherry Cobbler, Ivory, Crumb Cake, Pineapple Punch and Soft Suede to colour them in. I cut that out with my
paper snips and then used some
dimensionals to make it look like they were farther away from the background. Finally, I used the dies from
Well Written to make the sentiment, and did it in both
Cherry Cobbler and
Pineapple Punch. I glued them to shadow each other, then used some glossy accents to make it shine.
I backed the main piece with some
Basic Black, and then a
Whisper White card base. The inside I left blank this time so that I had lots of space to write a personalized note to my daughter and son-in-law. I hope they like the card, but regardless, I loved making it <3
