Have Faith

Timeless Tulips and A Good Man
Wow... it's been a long time. As I sat here writing that, a song came to mind. I am a complete Star Trek nerd, and the song was playing in my head. I should have realized where it was from, (Enterprise), but it took me a few minutes to figure it out. Who knew that it would be so appropriate for this post and for my journey as a stamper...

Faith of the Heart

Susan Ashton

It's been a long road gettin' from there to here
It's been a long time but my time is finally near
And I can feel a change in the wind right now
Nothing's in my way
And they're not gonna hold me down, no more
No they're not gonna hold me down

'Cause I've got faith of the heart
I'm goin' where my heart will take me
I've got faith to believe I can do anything
I've got strength of the soul
And no one's gonna bend or break me
I can reach any star
I've got faith, I've got faith, faith of the heart
Art of the Orient (retired)
It's been a long night trying to find my way
But through the darkness now I'll finally have my day
And I will see my dream come alive at last
I will touch the sky
And they're not gonna hold me down no more
And they're not gonna change my mind
'Cause I've got faith of the heart...

I have been playing with stamps for nearly 20 years now, and a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for just over two years. I started off like anyone, just muddling my way through. I took it up much more seriously in the past 10 years, spending the time and money I needed to expand my collection and expand my tools, my storage and organization and know how so that I could ease the anxiety I had and make it work for me. I learned a lot, largely due to the internet and some monthly classes held at my work by another Stampin' Up! demonstrator (thanks Marla!). I figured out that if I had the right things and took my time, I could actually make things that I loved and felt proud to give to my friends and family.

Stamping, like any endeavor that a person takes on, takes time, patience and a little bit of practice. If you have faith, faith of the heart, you will find your way to success.
