Florals that Rival the Real Thing!
Summer time is in full swing, and with it, my gardens are blossoming and bringing a smile to me on a daily basis. It really made me want to play with my florals in my craft room as well.
The first is a set of two cards that I decided to try out my new 2020-2022 In Colors with. The left one uses Magenta Madness, Just Jade and Bumblebee cardstocks, as well as a bit of Basic Black. Magenta Madness, Bumblebee, Just Jade and Misty Moonlight Classic Ink Pads were great for using with a dauber to blend some inks on a clear embossed background (I can show you how to use stamps, embossing powder and ink to do this - watch for a video upload soon). I used the flower stamp from the retired Beautiful Day cling stamp set. In the right hand one, I switched out the plain cardstock and use the new DSP Misty Moonlight as the background, which added a bit more texture to the look of the card. The other elements are the same ink colours and cardstock as the left hand one. I also added a bit of
A beautiful new set that came out in the new annual catalogue is Jar of Flowers. Used with the Jar Punch, you can make a great variety of floral cards - or don't use the flowers, and just use the mason jar to make even more! There is even a bundle, which saves you 10% on the items if you purchase them together. The other flowers include sunflowers, tulips, and a bouquet of wildflowers, giving you lots of variety. I used my Stampin' Blends in the new In Colors, as well as Highland Heather, to give the images a bit of pop. The Blends come in sets of a light and dark marker, and have paintbrush or regular tips. It makes it so easy to look artistic with just a few swipes of a pen. And believe me... I am not all that great at colouring!
This last card I shared with you recently. I used the brand new Prized Peony Suite to make it. I have never before bought an entire suite, something that Stampin' Up! came out with just over a year ago. Suites have everything looked after to provide coordination and beautiful products to make your crafting easier and quick to pull together. I loved the colours in the DSP, the peonies, and everything so much, and it was not a huge investment for this particular suite, so I took the plunge. NO REGRETS! It is just as beautiful as it looked in the pictures. Enough so that I am sharing this photo again ;).
I hope you love my floral cards as much as I do. If you would like any help figuring out how to put together any of the cards that I have shown here, have questions about the products, or just want to make a comment, feel free to drop me a note below. Also, I have included links throughout the post. Click on them and check out the products for yourself!
