Masculine Cards
* Old post that i just now realized i never actually published. Life does get so busy...
I know how hard it can be creating cards for the men in your life. It is a lot like buying clothes for little girls vs. little boys. There are so many colours, options, right or wrong,, for girls as opposed to boys.
I had two birthday cards to make this week, both for men. I have some DSP that worked perfectly for this.
The first one I went with a very limited colour palette. Smoky Slate was the alternative to white this time, as I thought white would be much too bright for what I wanted to achieve. I used two different DSPs in this case, both with Misty Moonlight as a tie in with each other. The Misty Moonlight (2020-2022 In Color) card base provided the perfect backdrop for all of the pattern.
Soaring and Embrace the Moment provided the stamps for the cover and an inside sentiment.
I used an older, retired stamp, Kanji, for the Japanese symbol, and then stamped off and used it to create the background as well. I love the subtle and structured look of this card.
