New Year... New Friends... New Products!
20ish years ago, I attended my first workshop, and I was hooked on stamping and card making from that moment on. It has now been 6 years this month that I first joined Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator. One of the best times for me as a demonstrator is when there is a new catalog coming out. Now is one of those times. As a demonstrator, I get to see the catalogs before they come out to the public, and have the opportunity to order products a full month ahead. Once in a while, I get to see things even sooner. I can choose to register in special events where we get to see things and use them and try them out. I got to do this a few times in the last year in person, and it was so much fun. In going to these events, I met many new people, including the CEO, and made many new friends too.
Right now, the new is even better. Not only is the 2024 Jan. to Apr. Mini Catalog going live this week, but it is also Sale-
a-bration time. I joined during Sale-a-bration, but honestly didn't appreciate how wonderful that truly was until much later. Now... I look forward to it as there are extras... and all FREE with every purchase of $60 of products. I have been using the new products over the last few weeks and thought I should share some of them with you. The first set that I worked with is the Bright Skies Bundle. This stamp and die set is so cute and easy to make great cards with.

On top of the great stamps and dies, the part that I think really makes this set pop is the DSP (designer series paper), a FREE choice that you can pick in the Sale-a-bration flyer. The bundle gets you to your first SAB choice, and I picked Sunny Days DSP. The colours are great, the dies cut out some of the images quickly and easily straight from the paper, and it all coordinates so well with the images in the stamps. I love the cards that I made, and the colour
combinations are so cheerful.

After making Christmas cards, it is nice to change gears and make cards that make me smile. These worked perfectly!
Another set that caught my eye during On Stage (the pre catalog event that demonstrators can participate in) was Trusty Tools. My hubby is a very handy guy, and I am always on the lookout for sets that I can use to make things for him. Trusty Tools is also a stamp and die bundle. During SAB, it also has a DSP that coordinates perfectly. I was sold on the bundle when I saw that one of the dies is for making pegboard - so awesome! There were also dies for making a power drill, which I added into one of the cards because well... it was amazing! My husband is a DeWalt fan. Can you tell from my colour choice? These cards are great for husbands, dads, but even for those handy DIY types that you have in your family or friend circle.
The cards in both of these sets were designed by two demonstrators that I have connected with through a class I took online. Jennifer Cotton designed the first ones, and Alejandra Gomez the second set. I still have to get time to make the ones that the Canadian DDM Genevieve Ko created for this session with this amazing group of ladies. I didn't have the DSP for that one, but got enough in the package to make one set of the cards with the supplies that were sent.
