Changing of the... Colours?

Each year since the early 2000s, Stampin' Up! has come out with a special set of colours each year that they call In Colors. After a few years, the number was changed from 6 to 5, and the colours were kept around for 2 years instead of just one.

This year, these colours are retiring. I know that they have been a big favourite of mine, and I will miss them as current colours. I will keep on using them until I have used them up. I never get rid of things just because they are no longer current. Old doesn't mean past its prime!

Last year, these colours were debuted, and they were not a set that appealed to me quickly. The great thing about being part of the Stampin' Up! community though is that you get to see how others use their products. This totally won me over. The new colours found a new friend in me! These colours are softer, more subtle colours than the retiring ones, and they really have a nice effect when they are used together.

And now... the new colours. I will admit, I was somewhat surprised when this set of colours was debuted at the annual conference last month. I did not get to attend, but it did not take long for pictures of them to start being shared out to demonstrators. I do like certain colours in this set, and there is a brand new colour for the regular collection that was released as well. I think the Basic Beige was very much needed. Those neutral base colours for cards are so important, and this one rounds out the selection very well.

What do you think of the new In Colors for 2024-2026? They are very springy types of colours, and have a bright and fresh feel to them. They are more "feminine" looking to me this time, and I am not sure how I feel about that. I am sure, like the last set, that they will grow on me too. So far, Peach Pie is my favourite of the bunch.
