Treaty 6 Land Acknowledgement

We at Sharon's Stamping Spot in Stony Plain, Alberta respectfully acknowledge that we live and work on the traditional territory of the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Dene, and Nakota Sioux peoples, as well as the homeland of the Métis. We recognize both the historical and ongoing significance of this land for Indigenous peoples and are grateful for the opportunity to live, work, and create on this territory. We offer special gratitude to the Knowledge Keepers and Elders from the nearby communities of Alexander Cree Nation, Enoch Cree Nation, and Paul First Nation, whose teachings and stewardship continue to guide and inspire us here in Stony Plain. We are grateful to the Creator and to all those who have come before us in this place. We commit to honouring and respecting the land and all its creatures as part of our journey toward truth and reconciliation. We will strive to extend the respect, kindness, and compassion that so many before us were denied, working to help right past wrongs and to do better as we move forward together.
